| Webex MeetMeNow |
 |
GlobeMeeting gives you all the Web Conferencing and screen sharing tools you get from WebEx MeetMeNow but at a fraction of the cost. MeetMeNow is known to be the most expensive solution on the market. WeEx wants you to lock into a long-term monthly subscription to benefit from any cost savings.
WebEx Meeting Center is also difficult to fully master and takes time to learn. GlobeMeeting matches all the features Meet Me Now has to offer including desktop sharing, private chatting, control granting but with increased ease of use. GlobeMeeting possesses great features such as being able to record the meeting for repeat play or viewing the meeting at a later moment for those not being able to attend the conference. Our software also enables you to write and send quick questionnaires that will enable them to answer questions in various forms (True/False, Multiple Choice, Open-ended questions). You also get to control when to divulge the right answer…
WebEx also does not offer as many desktop-sharing options for its basic solution (such as sharing a specific application or desktop folder). The limited version also has no integrated VoIP or videoconferencing options, and has very few administrative or product-configuration options in comparison with its enterprise products. GlobeMeeting gives you all the features you need whether you’re a big or small entity. |

GlobeMeeting is ease of installation makes it an interesting Web communication solution. Your online meeting requirements will be met with GlobeMeeting.
Mac users seem to be ad a disadvantage as they seem to suffer from technical problems in using the Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional as the Shared Reviews feature lacks support for Personal File Sharing. We have also seen a limited multimedia support options for Mac version as well as having no LiveCycle Designer application included with Mac version. |
| GoToMeeting |
 |
GoToMeeting’s business model encourages more features with product upgrades. Therefore, users opting for the basic GoToMeeting solution have a limited feature set that does not have the integrated VoIP service and stripped of most account and user administration features that would be available only through the Corporate edition. GlobeMeeting has these features as well as end-user controls to determine quality or frequency of refresh rate, the option to frame specific content on a page not found on GoToMeeting. You’ll also find the waiting room display customization that is reserved exclusively for GlobeMeeting Corporate customers.
Other exciting elements found in the GlobeMeeting online meeting solution include a whiteboard for displaying notes and diagrams in a flash and provides an overlay feature for adding comments on existing presentation documents. Lastly, GlobeMeeting has a videoconferencing feature to see attendees present at the meeting.
Those using the Windows VISTA operating system will not be able to create streaming video lectures due to an incompatible GoToMeeting codec. |
